Wave is a fourth-generation back protector by D-TEC, the culmination of a long journey that started in the 1970s with Barry Sheene and still continues today with Valentino Rossi and a whole hose of great motor-racing champions. With Wave, D-TEC has set new standards in both protection and comfort: Wave has an innovative corrugated structure with greater mechanical resistance than the previous versions, yet is exactly the same weight, plus a brand new ventilation system. The waist joint, introduced with Back Space, has been kept as it enables the protector to follow the torso's lateral movements.
