What is N-Com?

Nolan communication system: for the first time, a helmet company manufactures their own communication system and builds helmets in which oyou can install a headset in minutes, without any modification to the helmet.

What is a Basic Kit?

The Basic Kits are specific for each helmet, so there is a Basic Kit for the , N-103, N-102 and Basic Kit for the N-42 as well as a Basic Kit for the N-84. The Basic Kit can be installed in minutes inside the helmets, withotu any tools or modifications. It includes the earphones, the microphone and short wires (hanging on the underside of the helmet) that allow the rider to plug in the various devices and the charger.

What is an E-Box?

To take full advantage of the Basic Kits, you need an e-box. It is the black box that gets installed on the inside of the helmet, when you remove the small door that is located on the left side of all N-Com ready helmets. There are two E-Boxes: the Intercom E-Box for wired communications and the Bluetooth E-Box for wireless communications. Each E-Box comes with a charger, and a battery.

What is Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is a cable-replacement technology, aimed at elminating wires between devices such as cell-phones and headsets. Small radio chips are installed into our Bluetooth e-boxes to make your helmet compatible with any other Bluetooth device such as your cel-phone (if it is Bluetooth equipped), with your passenger's helmet (also equipped with a Bluetooth e-box), or with your GPS. What is the moble wire (Intercom)?

There are 8 different mobile wires, which allows the rider to plug their cell-phones into their helmets, if their cell-phone is not Bluetooth compatible. Click here to see which wire you'd need for your cell-phone.

What is the multimedia wire?

The multimedia wire plugs in the "in" wire of the headset allowing the rider to be connected to a sound source (CD, mp3, iPod; satellite navigation system, etc.) using the 3.5mm audio output, which is usually used by these devices for earphones.
