Arai Vector-2 Parkes Helmets (CLOSEOUT)

What started out as an affordable helmet with key features and benefits in the Vector, the Vector-2 looks to offer more benefits with a modest increase in price. After just a short test ride you'll find the benefits are anything but modest.

The new ACR-2 rear exhaust vent/wing combination has air inlets at the front, tuned in a wind tunnel, to accelerate air over the same (3) 10mm holes in the shell, greatly improving ventilation performance.

The refinements of the ACR -2 greatly increase the efficiency of removing interior heat buildup. A single large slider operates all 3 vents simultaneously. The ACR-2 is now available as an accessory part.

Larger side exhaust ports increase airflow, but careful attention has been paid to keeping noise levels down.

Wider eye port, providing an additional 5mm at each side, increasing peripheral vision for greater situational awareness of your surrounding environment.

The front intake looks identical to the previous Vector vent, but upon closer inspection, the difference becomes apparent as the new ACF-2 front intake vent incorporates a sliding door that closes the oversized intake opening completely.

At the same time the outer gate closes the intake opening, an inner plate slides over and closes the hole in the shell. The ACF-2 is now available as accessory part.

Found in every Arai helmet is the basic and simple organic shell shape. A helmet is first and foremost an Energy Management System! From ventilation to aerodynamics, shield systems, radio, blue tooth and graphics; everything comes secondary and none should ever interfere with the helmets number one job of Impact Energy Management! Arai looks to the incredibly strong shape of an egg for inspiration, with the smooth uninterrupted spherical shape transferring stress loads more evenly across its entire surface. The absence of exaggerated edges or protrusions in the shell is not a lack of creativity, but a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the shell with impact performance in mind.

Features:
Latest generation SAI shield is 5mm longer on both sides, which in concert with the corresponding 5mm wider eye-port of the helmet provides the rider with an enhanced peripheral field of view, greatly improving situational awareness of the surrounding environment.
In concert with the new SAI shield, a new SAI base plate design is used to further improve the shield system.
Repositioned upper mount point allows for greater flexibility, reducing stress during normal shield operation.
Multi-Density (up to 5 in some models) Single piece EPS liner provides exceptional impact energy management, while keeping the overall size and weight of the helmet to a minimum.
New fully removable liner is now standard.
New liner design has a full perimeter crown pad, with minimal frame support, for increased comfort.
New cool grey color on Arai's traditional brushed nylon material maintains an incredibly soft feel.
Removable/replaceable cheek pads, with removable and washable covers.
Both the liner and cheek pads are exclusive to the Vector-2 model.
The newly designed Hyper-Ridge around the bottom of the shell enhances shell strength in addition to providing a larger bottom opening making it much easier to put the helmet on and take off, all without adding weight or increasing the shell size.
Not shown in this image is the chin curtain, which comes standard. However, it is important to remember this chin curtain is fixed and is not a part of a pull down spoiler as on other models.
New chin vent design and placement within the chin bar gives the Vector-2 its own distinctive look, while flowing plenty of air.

Full eye port cavity accepts exclusive Pin-Lock lens insert to provide exceptional anti-fogging performance across the entire field of view!
Insert lenses available in five color/tint options.

Liner Features:
It is extremely important to note that the Comfort Head Liner and the Cheek Pad sets are Exclusive to the Vector-2 model and cannot be interchanged with interior components from other models.
It is also important to note that the installation & removal technique for the Vector & Vector-2 cheek pads is opposite of all other Arai cheek pad types.
